~ Welcome ~
Welcome to my blog! Here I'll be occasionally showcasing some of my work and letting you know when & where I'll be at craft fairs. I hope to see you there!
My grandfather's b-day is today! He's always building something, so I thought this would be perfect for him! I used the Weathered background stamp from SU....and my new favorite brads! :-) This is the same tool set as the Father's Day card I posted.
I created this while at camp with my friend Diane (check out her blog
here) - when we camp together we bring our crafting stuff for nap time! Gotta love it! I really wanted to play with my new stamp set from SU...and those awesome brads that I recently got! (Of course I got the brads solely because I knew I had the tools stamp set!) Anyway... I basically made a background sheet by stamping the various tools all over white cardstock. Then I adhered with the 'screw' brads and added the layers. I really love these brads! Not sure if the dads will appreciate them as much as I do, but that's okay - I had fun with them!
My daughter's friend was having a princess tea party for her 5th birthday party, so naturally I had to use my Silhouette to make a card! I welded her name together with a crown and then inserted it into the middle of the circle before cutting with my Silhouette. Then I took the cutout name and used that for the envelope. She loved it! (Please try to ignore the yellow background - I wasn't in my usual spot when I took the photo - yellow is not very flattering for this picture. Oh well!)

For my daughter's 5th birthday we had a 'Fancy Nancy' party - complete with very fancy little girls, fancy crafts, finger foods & parfaits. It was quite the party! No Fancy Nancy party would be complete without fancy invitations to get the ball rolling :-) Since my little girl's favorite colors are pink and purple, I had to use those in her invitations. :-) I printed out the wording on pink cardstock and overlayed it on embossed purple cardstock. A ribbon and some silver brads finished off the top. Inside, I made some corner adornments in gold ink. Not shown here was the envelope - I made the same corner adornments on the lower corner of the envelope as well...and created fancy labels for all the invitees.

This is the card I made for my son for his 3rd birthday. You might not be able to tell very well, but the black background is embossed with a spiderweb. I found the 'spidey' head online and printed it out on cardstock. It's a simple card, but my son was only turning 3 after all! LOL He loved it nonetheless.
